Salem Polyclinic

You will find us on Omalur Main Road in the Peramanur area. We operate as a polyclinic, which means we have a variety of different medical services and doctors available in one place. It is not as huge as a major hospital, but we stay very busy with the local community. The waiting area is a simple room with chairs where people sit and wait for their names to be called. We have several consultation rooms where the doctors see their patients throughout the day. Being on a main road, we get a lot of people who just drop in because they were passing by. The sound of the traffic outside is something we’ve all grown used to over the years. Our staff at the front desk is usually busy with files and phones, trying to keep everything organized. It’s an honest, no-nonsense kind of place. We don't have any fancy marketing or polished signs; we just provide a space for people to get their health checked. The floors are tiled and we keep them clean, even with all the people walking in and out. Most of our patients live nearby in Peramanur, so we see many of the same faces over and over. We just do our best to get through the daily schedule and make sure everyone gets seen by a doctor. We keep a lot of records on paper still, so the filing cabinets are pretty stuffed in the back office.
