Sakthi Homoeo Clinic

Our clinic is over in Doctors Colony, which is usually a pretty quiet part of the Sakthipuram area. It’s at No-2/118-4, and if you haven't been here before, it can be a little tricky to find among all the other houses. We have been here for quite some time now, and the routine never really changes. People come in with all sorts of small bottles they need refilled with those little white sugar pills. The room smells faintly of alcohol and herbs, which most of our regulars say they find calming. We have some wooden benches that have seen better days but they are sturdy enough. Outside in Jakirammapalkayam, the trees give a bit of shade, which helps during the hot afternoons when the sun hits the front door. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us handling the appointments and the dispensing. Most of the people who visit are from the colony itself, so we end up talking about the local news or the weather while we work. It isn't a fast-paced place; homoeopathy takes its time and so do we. We keep the records in big paper files and sometimes it takes a minute to find the right one if the drawer sticks. It’s just a local spot where people feel comfortable coming in their slippers to talk about their aches and pains without any rush. We keep the fan running and the water filter filled, and that is about as fancy as it gets.
