Ramanathan Clinic

The Ramanathan Clinic is right here on 96/285 Trichy Main Road in Dadagapatti. We have been in this spot for a while now, and honestly, the traffic outside never really stops. You can hear the buses and trucks rumbling by all day long while we sit inside. It is a simple place with just enough chairs for people to wait their turn. Most days start pretty early because patients like to beat the heat, especially around here. We spend a lot of time writing out notes and checking thermometers. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but they do the job for now. I usually find myself rearranging the files on the desk when things get quiet, which isn't often. People from all over Dadagapatti come through that door with all kinds of small problems. Some just need a quick check, others stay a bit longer to talk. We don't have fancy machines everywhere, just the basics that work. The light in the hallway flickers sometimes if the wind hits the wires outside on Trichy Main Road. It’s just how it is. Sometimes we run out of tea by noon and someone has to run across the street. We keep the windows shut to block the dust, but it always finds a way in anyway. It is just a regular clinic where we try to get through the daily list of names without too much fuss.
