R V Traders

At R V Traders, located at 44 in Vazhapadi, things are pretty straightforward. We operate out of Periya Krishnapuram, and we mostly deal with bulk goods and local trading. The building is basically a large warehouse with a small corner for a desk and a couple of chairs. It’s mostly concrete and iron. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to truck drivers who are delivering or picking up loads. There is always a bit of mud on the floor from people walking in from the street, especially when it rains. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment, just a good scale and some heavy-duty trolleys. Most of our day is spent checking invoices and making sure the counts are right. It’s easy to lose track of things if you aren't careful, so we keep everything written down in big ledgers. We take our tea breaks together in the afternoon when things slow down for a bit. It is a bit of a dusty environment, and the noise from the main road never really stops. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Most people around here already know where we are and what we do. It’s just a practical business run by people who aren't afraid of a little hard work. We keep things moving, stay honest with our numbers, and try to get through the day's tasks before it gets dark.
