R V Dass Hearing Care Clinic is located at No. 31 / 9B on Mettu Mariamman Koil Street. We are very close to the Sugavaneaswaran Koil, which is a big landmark for anyone trying to find us. Being on Mettu Street means we are near the temple, and sometimes you can hear the bells or the music during festivals. Our work involves a lot of hearing tests, so we need the rooms to be as quiet as possible, which can be a challenge on a busy street. We have specialized equipment for checking how well people can hear and for fitting hearing aids. Many of our patients are older folks from the neighborhood who find it hard to follow conversations. We spend a lot of time sitting with them, explaining how the devices work and showing them how to change the tiny batteries. The clinic isn't very big, just a couple of rooms and a small front area with a desk. We keep the place clean, but it feels more like a home office than a big medical center. The staff knows the regulars well, and we often have a chat about the weather or the temple events while we work. We don’t have a big marketing department or fancy brochures; we just have our equipment and our time. It’s a specialized kind of care that requires a lot of patience.
