Pro Wash

Running Pro Wash here on Rajaram Nagar Road isn't exactly a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy. Most mornings we start early, right when the sun is coming up over Shankar Nagar, because that’s when the first few people show up on their way to work. The soap we use has a certain smell that stays on your clothes all day, and honestly, you just get used to being a little bit damp all the time. Our spot isn't anything fancy, just some bays and a lot of hoses lying around that we’re always tripping over. The pavement stays wet even when it’s dry everywhere else in the neighborhood. Sometimes the pressure washer acts up or a pipe gets a leak, and we have to spend an hour fixing it with whatever tools are handy in the back room. It’s loud too, with the water hitting the metal and the cars idling while they wait their turn. We’ve got a small bench where customers sit, though most just wander off to grab a snack nearby. It’s a simple routine, day in and day out. We don’t spend much time worrying about being the biggest shop in town; we just want to make sure the dirt is gone before the next person pulls in. It gets tiring on the legs, standing on the concrete for ten hours, but it’s honest work and we like the people around here.
