Our printing shop is located at 197 Lic Colony, which is right opposite the new bus stand. Because of the bus stand, there is a constant flow of people and vehicles outside our door. It’s a very active spot and it never really gets quiet until late at night. The shop itself is usually filled with the sound of the offset printer churning out pages. We have stacks of paper everywhere, from thin sheets for flyers to heavy board for cards. Lic Colony is a well-known area, so it’s easy for our regulars to find us. The floor has some ink stains that have been there for years, and the workbenches are worn down from use. We don't have a lot of space for customers to sit, but most people just drop off their orders and come back later anyway. The smell of the press is very strong, especially on hot days when the air doesn't move much. We spend our time checking the plates and making sure the colors are mixing correctly. It’s a lot of physical work, especially when we get a big shipment of paper that needs to be moved inside. We’ve seen the new bus stand get built and the area grow busier over time. We just keep doing what we do, focused on the paper and the ink, and getting through the daily list of jobs. To be honest, some days are more tiring than others but we stay.
