We have our office set up at Ebenesar Colony in Sankari, specifically at number 1/17/13-P-1. Sankari is known for all the transport activity and we are right in the middle of it. The office is usually full of drivers coming in to hand over their trip sheets or asking about the next load. We have a couple of old wooden desks and some steel cupboards where we keep all the records from over the years. It can get pretty dusty because of all the trucks moving on the roads nearby. We usually have a pot of water in the corner for anyone who stops by. The phone rings a lot with people asking where their goods are or when a vehicle will arrive. We don't really have a fancy waiting area, just a few plastic chairs for the staff and visitors. My desk is near the window so I can see who is coming into the colony. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for a long time and everyone knows the P.R.M. name around here. The work is mostly about coordinating schedules and making sure the lorries are in good shape. It’s a long day that starts early and often ends after the sun goes down. We just keep our heads down and handle the logistics day by day. It’s not a glamorous job but it is essential for keeping things moving through the state and helping our clients get their cargo delivered.
