Niyas Dental Clinic

Niyas Dental Clinic is right by the Seelanaikanpatti Bye Pass. It’s a location that gets a lot of dust and noise from the heavy trucks going past, but it’s easy for people to reach from the highway. The clinic is a simple space with the dental chair and the cabinets full of tools. I spend most of my day looking at teeth and talking to people about their dental habits. It’s not a large clinic, just enough room for the patients and a small spot for people to sit while they wait. The floor is made of white tiles that we have to mop several times a day because of the dust from the bypass road. We have a small sink in the corner and a desk where we keep the appointment diary. Most of the people who come here are from the local area or are travelers who stop because they have a toothache while on the road. It can be a bit lonely sometimes when it's quiet, but usually, there is someone coming in with a problem. We don't have any fancy signs or big lights; just a small board outside so people know we are here. It’s a modest place where we do the work that needs doing. The sun sets right behind the building, making it very hot in the evenings, but we have a fan that helps a bit. The traffic never really stops outside.
