Emrs Nets

If you head down to Irusai Amman Kovil Street in the Udukkamudu Caudu area of Nilavarapatty, you’ll find Emrs Nets. We are tucked away in a spot that isn't always easy to find if it’s your first time visiting. The street is usually narrow and sometimes busy with local people going to the temple. Our place is filled with netting of all kinds. It takes up a lot of room, so there’s not much space left for anything else. We spend a lot of time measuring and cutting things down to size. The floor is usually covered in little bits of scrap material. It’s a very manual process. We don't have fancy machines doing everything for us. Nilavarapatty is a decent place to work, even if it gets quite hot during the summer months. We have a few old chairs for when we need to sit down and take a break. The building itself is nothing special to look at from the outside. We just have the name Emrs Nets painted near the entrance. Most of our visitors are regulars who have been coming to us for years. They know the way through Udukkamudu Caudu. We don't have a big marketing budget or a sales team. It’s just us doing the work and making sure the nets are ready for whoever needs them. That’s our day-to-day life on Irusai Amman Kovil Street.
