M/S. Sanmar Foundries Ltd.

Our place is a bit different because we are out in Sjk Farms, near Valasakalpatti in the Salem district. Specifically, we are in the Gangavalli area. M/S. Sanmar Foundries Ltd. is located where there’s a lot of open land around, which is good for a foundry. It gets very hot here, both because of the Tamil Nadu sun and the work we do with metal. The air usually has that smell of earth and iron. Most of our workers come from the surrounding villages, and they know the trade inside out. It’s not an office job where you sit in a suit all day. We’re usually covered in a bit of dust by the time evening rolls around. The pace of life in Salem is a bit slower than the big cities, but inside the gates, it’s always moving. We have been here for a while and have become a bit of a landmark in the Valasakalpatti area. There’s a certain rhythm to the foundry work that everyone just understands without needing a manual. We don't have a big website with glossy photos. What you see is what you get. Just a bunch of people working hard in the heat to make sure the foundry runs like it’s supposed to. It’s a tough environment, but it feels honest and real. We appreciate the quiet evenings once the machines finally stop for the day.
