We've been around Metturdam for quite some time now. Our spot is at B 36 in the New Family Quarters over in Malco Colony. It's a quiet enough area in Salem district, and most people here know us just as the aluminium company. Things get busy during the day when everyone is coming and going from the colony. We handle a lot of the metal work that's needed for different projects. It's not glamorous, but it’s steady work. Most of the guys here live nearby, so we're all pretty much neighbors. The quarters have been there for years, and they've seen a lot of change in the Tamilnadu industrial scene. We just focus on getting the aluminium out and making sure the day-to-day operations run okay. Sometimes the weather in Salem gets really hot, which makes the work a bit tougher, but we manage. You’ll find us right there in the colony, usually busy with something or other. We don't really do much fancy advertising or anything like that. People know where to find us if they need us. It’s a practical setup, nothing too modern, just functional. The location in Metturdam has always been central to what we do. We've got the space we need and the people who know the trade. That's really all there is to it. We keep things simple and just keep moving forward with the work we have on hand each day. Most of us have been here for years, so we’ve seen the colony change a bit, but the work stays the same. It's just about getting the aluminium ready and out the door.
