Kurinji Hospital

Being right at Five Roads in Salem means it's always noisy outside. You can hear the horns and the buses all day long. We’ve been at this spot for quite some time. It is a convenient place to get to, which is probably why people come here. The building itself is older, and we’ve had to fix the plumbing a couple of times lately. We aren't trying to be the biggest or the flashiest place in town. We just have our doctors and the nursing staff who show up and do their jobs. It gets crowded in the waiting area on Monday mornings. People sit and chat while they wait for their turn. We try to keep the fans going so it doesn't get too hot inside during the summer months. There isn't much to say about our history other than we stayed put while the city grew around us. The Five Roads area has changed a lot, but we’re still here doing the same things. We don't use any fancy words to describe what we do. If someone has a fever or an injury, they come in, and we see what we can do. It’s just a local hospital for the people living nearby. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, but we manage. It’s just how things go here in Salem. Most of us have worked here for years. We spend our lunch breaks out back when it's quiet enough to hear ourselves think.
