You can find us at No. 10/45 A Muniappan Koil Street in Kondalampatty. We are Lakshmi Jari Traders. If you know this area, you know it’s famous for weaving and textiles. We supply the jari, which is the shiny thread used in saris and other clothes. Our shop is filled with spools of gold and silver-colored thread. It’s quite bright when the sun hits the shelves. We’ve been in this spot for years. The street is usually crowded with people and motorbikes, especially during the festival seasons. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just talk to people face-to-face. Most of our customers are locals who have been coming to us for a long time. We spend our days weighing thread and talking about the latest patterns. It’s a lot of manual work, and our hands usually have a bit of a shimmer on them by the end of the day. The building is a bit cramped, and we have to stack the boxes pretty high to fit everything in. We aren't looking to become a massive company. We just like being part of the Kondalampatty weaving community. We try to keep our prices fair and our thread quality steady. It’s a simple life, and we’re happy to be here on Muniappan Koil Street. There is always a glass of water for anyone who walks in.
