Kgs Bus Service

Kgs Bus Service is based out of Gandhi Nagar Street at No 6/357. This part of Salem, near Vaikalpatrai, is where we grew up. We decided to start this bus service because we saw a need for more transport in the area. It is a family-run thing. We have a couple of buses that we use for various trips. Sometimes it is for local groups going to a function, other times it might be a longer journey. The office is really just part of our house where we keep the logs and the phone. We don't have a big staff. Usually, it is just me or my cousin handling the calls. We make sure the buses are clean and the engines are working okay. Vaikalpatrai is a quiet enough area but Gandhi Nagar Street can get a bit cramped when the buses are parked. We try to be mindful of the neighbors. People in the 636001 zip code know us mostly by word of mouth. We don't do much advertising. If someone needs a bus, they usually just walk over or give us a ring. We tell them what the cost will be and if we have a driver available for that day. It is a simple business. We focus on getting people where they need to go without any fuss. It keeps us busy and we like being part of the community here on this street.
