Kalai Traders

Our shop is located at number 45 on the Trichy Main Road in Karungalpatty. If you know the area, you know how busy this road gets with all the cars and bikes rushing past throughout the day. We’ve been operating from this same spot for quite some time now, handling various trading goods for the local community. It’s a compact space, mostly filled with stock and ledgers. We don't have a big fancy showroom, just a counter and the items we sell stacked up against the walls. It gets quite loud with the traffic noise, so we often have to shout a bit to be heard over the engines. We start the day early, sweeping the front of the shop and setting things out for people to see. There isn't much room for sitting around, as we’re usually busy loading or unloading something from a delivery van parked on the curb. Most of our customers are regulars who live nearby or drive through this part of Karungalpatty every day. We know most of them by name and they know us. The building itself is older, and the paint is peeling a bit in the corners, but it serves its purpose well enough. We keep things simple here. There’s no big management team, just a couple of us making sure the orders are filled and the shelves aren't empty. It’s a straightforward business on a very busy road, just like we planned it.
