Down here in Mettur Dam, things move at their own pace, and that’s how we like it at our spot in Sakthinagar. We’re tucked away in Ramannagar, right near the 6/1-186 address if you're looking for us. It’s a steel town through and through. The heat from the sun and the heat from the metal sort of blend together after a few hours on the floor. Most of us living around Salem Dist know what it’s like to work with these materials every single day. We don't have a big corporate lobby or anything like that. It’s just a desk, some chairs, and a lot of steel parts waiting to go out. Bhagyaraj handles a lot of the day-to-day coordination while the rest of us keep the yard moving. It’s a practical setup. We spend most of our time out back or on the phone trying to coordinate with the transport guys. Sometimes the rain slows things down, especially when the monsoon hits Tamilnadu hard, but we manage. We aren't trying to be the biggest or the loudest, just a group of people who show up and handle the steel orders. You get used to the clanging of metal and the smell of the grease after a week or two. It’s honest work and it keeps the lights on for our families in the colony. We just do the work and head home.
