We’re located out in Baseri, specifically at 03 Nonere Prathivisingh. It’s a bit of a mouthful to say the whole address when people ask, but local people know where Salempiura is located. We set up Jgd Nidhi Limited to help out with small financial needs of the people here. Around here, folks don't always want to go to the big banks in the main city. They prefer coming somewhere where they know the faces behind the counter and can speak freely. We handle savings and small loans. It’s basic stuff that helps people get by. The office isn't very large at all. We have some heavy wooden desks and a lot of registers that we fill out by hand. We spend the mornings cleaning up the dust and then the members start coming in one by one. Some days are very slow, especially when it rains hard, and we just sit and drink tea while we wait. Other days, we’re running around trying to get all the paperwork signed and verified. We don’t use complicated words or big corporate slogans here. We just tell people how much they can save and what the interest looks like for them. Most of us grew up around here, so we know the families and the history of the place. It makes the work feel more personal than a regular job. We take pride in keeping our records straight. No one is wearing a suit here. We’re just regular people doing what we know how to do.
