Jegadeesan Store

If you are around Rv Patti, Jegadeesan Store is located at 72, Devi Nagar Main Road. We are quite close to the Mani Bala Theater, which is a good landmark for people who aren't from this part of town. The store is basically a collection of everything people might need for their daily routines. We have shelves packed with items, sometimes a bit too high to reach comfortably. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you’ll usually see one of us behind the counter most hours of the day. It gets very busy in the evenings when people are heading home or going to see a movie at the theater nearby. We don’t have any fancy displays or bright lights, just a few fluorescent tubes and a lot of stock. The floor is a bit worn from all the foot traffic over the years. We know most of the customers by their names and what they usually come in for. It is a bit cramped inside because we try to fit in as much as we can. We spend a lot of time unpacking boxes and writing down what needs to be ordered for the next week. It’s a simple life, running a shop and making sure we have the essentials. There is always a bit of chatter going on between the regulars, which makes the long day go by faster. We just stay open until the last movie crowd leaves and then we head home to do it all again tomorrow.
