Jayalakshmi Bus Service

We run Jayalakshmi Bus Service from our office at No 23 on Saradha College Road. We are right in the heart of Hastampatti in Salem. It’s a very busy part of town with all the college students and people commuting to work. Our main business is keeping our buses running on time. It’s been a lot of years now that we’ve been doing this. It is hard work making sure the vehicles are maintained and the drivers are ready to go. Our office is a functional place, not built for looks. We have some wooden benches for people to sit on while they wait for information or to buy a ticket. The desk is always covered in logbooks and cash. It gets a bit dusty because we leave the windows open to the street noise, but that’s just how it is in Salem. We know every turn and stop on our routes. Sometimes a bus has a mechanical problem, and we have to spend the whole day sorting it out. It can be quite a lot of pressure, but it’s what we do. We aren't trying to be a massive corporation. We just want to be a reliable service that the people in Hastampatti can depend on. It’s nice seeing the same regular passengers every morning.
