Our place is out in Kr Thoppur, near T.Konagapadi in Salem. It’s a bit of a drive if you’re coming from the main city, but we like it out here. Gvpr Engg Ltd has been operating from this spot for quite a while. Being an engineering firm, there’s always something being measured or drawn up. The office is usually covered in site maps and project notes. It’s dusty sometimes, especially when the wind picks up across the open ground near the village. We aren't a massive operation with hundreds of people in this specific office, but we keep busy enough. The staff here are mostly local folks who know the roads and the land around here like the back of their hands. We drink a lot of tea while we look over plans. It’s not the kind of place you’d find in a high-rise building. It’s practical. We have our trucks and our gear, and we spend a lot of time out on the field anyway. When we’re in the office, it’s mostly to catch up on paperwork and make sure the numbers add up. It’s honest work. We’ve had our ups and downs like any other business in the area. Some years are busier than others depending on what projects are going on in the district. We just keep our heads down and stay focused on the task. It's quiet work but we enjoy the routine.
