Thayammal Fashion

We are based at 12 A on 4th Sengalpatty Street in Gugai. This area has a long history with textiles, and we are just a small part of that tradition now. The street is quite narrow, so you have to be careful if you are driving a car down here. At Thayammal Fashion, our daily routine is pretty much the same every day. We open up early, get the lights on, and start working on whatever fashion pieces are on the schedule. It is a lot of manual work and checking things by hand. The shop is tucked away, so it is a bit quieter than the main roads, but you can still hear the bustle of Gugai all around us. We have a few old tables and some sewing machines that have been with us for a long time. They make a lot of noise, but they still work fine. We don't have a fancy sign, just a small one near the door. The people who work here have been doing this for years, so they know their way around a piece of cloth. It is just a simple, local business where we try to stay busy and keep things moving. We don't have any big plans to change things; we just like being here on 4th Sengalpatty Street.
