Gayathri Clinic

Down in Udyappa Colony at number 15, you’ll find Gayathri Clinic. We are pretty close to the Arts College, so we get a mix of students and local families coming in. It’s a quiet enough neighborhood most of the time, except when the college lets out in the afternoon. The clinic itself is quite small. We have a front desk that’s been there since we opened, and it’s seen a lot of use. There’s a big tree outside that gives some shade to the entrance, which is nice during the summer months. We don’t have a lot of bells and whistles. It’s just a place where you can get a checkup or a prescription without too much fuss. I usually start the morning by tidying up the magazines and checking the supplies. Some days it’s just one person after another, and other days it’s quiet enough to read a book for a bit. We know the people in Udyappa Colony well. They drop by for advice or just to talk about their health. The Arts College brings a bit of energy to the area. We see students who are far from home and a bit nervous about being sick. We just treat everyone the same. It’s an honest, local business. We keep our records in big metal filing cabinets. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. Gayathri Clinic is just a steady part of the colony life here. We keep our doors open for the neighborhood.
