Kalyani Electricals

Kalyani Electricals is located in the G. M. Complex on Chittu Koil Street in the Kallanguthu area. We are in shop number 41/7. This street is famous for being quite narrow and always filled with people looking for electrical parts or hardware. Our shop is packed from floor to ceiling with wires, switches, bulbs, and all sorts of electrical components. It can be a bit of a squeeze when more than two customers come in at once. We spend a lot of time climbing ladders to reach the top shelves. The complex itself is older, and the walls are a bit dusty, but it’s a good location for us. We know almost everyone on the street, from the tea seller to the other shopkeepers. It’s a community. We don't have a fancy display or bright neon signs. People come to us because they know we likely have that one specific fuse or wire they need. The air in the shop always smells a bit like copper and plastic. On hot days, we keep the door open to get some air, but that also lets in the noise from the street. It’s a busy, cramped, and lively place to work. We just try to help people find what they need for their homes or businesses and keep the shelves stocked up. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside on plastic stools until it comes back on again.
