If you walk down Govindasamy Naidu Street in Mecheri, you will find us. Deluxe Exporters has been operating from this same spot for a good few years now. The name sounds a bit grand, but we are just a small group of people working out of a modest building. Mecheri is our home, and we like doing business here. We mostly handle outgoing goods. Every day is different. Some days we are buried in invoices, and other days we are out back checking the crates. We do not have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy letters for us. We just talk to our customers directly. It is better that way. You get to know people. Most of our work comes from word of mouth around the street. We have had the same desk and chairs since we opened. They are a bit worn out, but they work fine. We spend a lot of time making sure the labels are right. If a label is wrong, everything gets messed up at the port. My uncle used to say that attention to detail is the only way to stay in business, so we try to remember that. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for the transporters to arrive. Sometimes they are late, which can be frustrating. But that is just part of the job. We do not promise miracles, we just try to get the work done before the sun goes down. It is a simple life for us here.
