Crystals India is tucked away at C-32 Kalaimagal Street in the Swarnapuri area. It’s a quiet street for the most part, which is nice when we are trying to concentrate on our inventory. We’ve been at this location for quite a while now. The building has seen better days, maybe needs a bit of paint, but it serves its purpose well. Inside, we have shelves lined with all sorts of items. Sorting through them takes up a big chunk of our day. It’s not a high-tech operation; we mostly rely on our eyes and hands to get things sorted. Sometimes the neighbors come by to chat while we are loading or unloading. We don't have a flashy sign out front, just the address and the name. Most people who come here already know what they are looking for. The fans in the main room make a bit of a rattling noise, but we’ve grown used to it over the years. We usually keep the doors open to catch whatever breeze comes down Kalaimagal Street. It’s a humble setup. We don't spend much on decorations because we’d rather have the space for our stock. Every morning starts with a quick sweep of the floor and a pot of tea. It’s just the way we do things here in Swarnapuri. We keep our records in big ledgers because we still like writing things down and keeping track of our stock by hand.
