Chennai Associates

Our office is located at No 86/10 on the Suramangalam Junction Main Road. It is a pretty easy place to find since we are right across from St Joseph’s Higher Secondary School. You can hear the kids playing during recess and the school bells ringing throughout the day. We have been here in Salem for a while now. Chennai Associates is basically just a group of us handling local paperwork and helping people out with various services they might need. The traffic on the main road is constant, so there is always a bit of noise and movement right outside our front windows. It is a plain office with some old metal files and sturdy wooden desks. We do not really go for that modern glass and chrome look. It feels more comfortable and real this way. Most of our days are spent on the phone or filling out various forms for clients. It is steady work. We know most of the other shop owners around the junction. Sometimes we go out for a quick tea at the stall by the bus stop when things quiet down in the late afternoon. Being near the school means there are always parents and teachers walking by our door. We have grown to like the rhythm of this particular street. It is not a fancy corporate setup, just a practical place where we get things done. We try to stay busy and keep our clients happy without making a big fuss about everything.
