Chammundi Driving School

Our office for Chammundi Driving School is right on Breets Road in Salem. If you know where the Commissioner Office is, we are just across from it. It’s a busy spot, which is actually good for people learning to drive because they see the traffic right away. We have a small room where we handle the forms and show some basic diagrams of how a car works. Most of the day, though, we are out in the cars. We use the older models because they are easier for beginners to handle without being too worried about a scratch. Learning to drive in Salem can be nerve-wracking for some, especially with the bikes and buses everywhere. We try to be patient. There’s no big fancy classroom here. We just sit in the car and go through the gears. Sometimes the paperwork for the licenses takes longer than expected at the RTO, so we spend a lot of time explaining that process to people. The building we are in is quite old and simple. We’ve been here for years, and most people find us just by walking past on Breets Road. It’s a practical business. We don't have any flashy advertisements or a big website. People just come in, sign up, and start their lessons. It’s mostly about getting people comfortable behind the wheel so they can pass their test and drive safely on their own. It takes time but we get it done.
