We are located at No. 82 in the SIDCO Women Industrial Park, which is part of Karuppur in Omalur Taluk. It’s a bit out of the main town, so it’s quieter than being right in the middle of a city. The park is full of different units, and we’ve been here for a good bit now. Most of the people here are just local workers who commute in every morning. It’s a practical space, very industrial, with high ceilings and concrete floors that are hard on your feet by the end of the shift. We don’t have much in the way of decoration, just the tools and tables we need to get our work done. The commute can be a bit of a trek for some of us, but once you’re here, it’s a decent place to work. There’s a lot of space for trucks to load up, which is better than some of those cramped city offices. We spend a lot of time checking on things and making sure everything is running like it should. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s steady. On lunch breaks, some of us sit outside when the weather is nice, though it gets pretty dusty with all the movement in the park. We’ve got a routine down, and we stick to it every single day. It’s just us doing our thing at unit eighty-two without too much fuss.
