Bogaa Shree Herbals

You can find Bogaa Shree Herbals at # 7/106 Raja Street in Muthunaickan Patty. It’s a quiet little area, and our shop fits right in with the surrounding houses. When you walk in, you’ll usually smell all sorts of dried leaves, barks, and roots. We spend a lot of our time sorting through different herbs and packaging them up into small bags. It’s manual work, really, and it takes up most of our morning. We don't have big machines doing everything for us. Most of it is done by hand right here on Raja Street. We get our supplies from various places and then we have to clean them and get them ready for sale. The shop isn't very big, so we have to be smart about where we put everything. Shelves are filled with jars and bags of all sizes. Sometimes we’re out back processing things or drying them, so if someone comes to the front, they might have to wait a second for us to hear them. Muthunaickan Patty is a nice place to work because it’s not as fast-paced as the city centers. We have locals who come in regularly for things they’ve been using for years. We don't use any fancy sales tactics or posters. People just know what they want and we give it to them from the stock we have. The floor is usually a bit dusty from all the dried plants, but we sweep up when we have a free moment.
