Balakrishna & Co.

Finding us can be a bit tricky because we have Old No. 414 and also New No 586 on our door here on Trichy Road. People get confused all the time, especially the new delivery drivers who end up driving past us twice before they realize where we are. Balakrishna & Co. has been operating out of this spot in Gugai for a long time now. Trichy Road is always humming with the sound of trucks and buses, so it’s never really quiet inside our office. The dust from the road settles on everything if we leave the windows open too long, so we spend a lot of time cleaning surfaces. It’s an old building with high ceilings and those heavy wooden doors that creak when you move them. We have a lot of history in these rooms. The floors are a bit uneven in places, but we know exactly where to step. Gugai is a hardworking part of town, and we feel like we fit right in with the rest of the shops along this stretch. Most of our day is spent handling paperwork and talking to people who drop in. There’s no fancy air conditioning, just the old ceiling fans spinning away. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything; we just have our address on the road and a lot of work to get through. It’s just a plain, honest place where we come to do our jobs every morning.
