Andiykhan Exports India Private Limited is our small venture that focuses on getting goods ready for travel. The workspace is filled with cardboard boxes and packing tape. It is a quiet neighborhood for the most part, except when we have a container arriving. Then things get a bit hectic on our street. We have a small crew of people who are very good at folding and packing everything so it doesn't move during the journey. The office is just a small room with a computer and a printer that jams way too often. We do a lot of paperwork because of the nature of exporting goods. It’s interesting to think that stuff from this small corner of Pappampadi ends up so far away in other countries. Most of us grew up around here and we like being able to work close to our homes. We have a small porch where we sit for a few minutes in the evening once the day's work is finished. It is nothing fancy, just a plain building with a big rolling shutter. We focus on the work at hand and try to make sure everything is labeled correctly before it leaves our sight. There is always a lot to do, especially when we are trying to meet a shipping deadline, but we manage somehow.
