You can find Ammar Belts Corporation right across from the Abt Parcel Service on Kallanguthu Street. We are at number 49/16, and it’s a busy little area with lots of deliveries coming and going all day. As our name says, we focus on making belts. We have all sorts of buckles, straps, and leather pieces lying around the workshop. It can get a bit messy when we are in the middle of a big production run, but we usually know where everything is. We aren't a big factory with automated robots; we do a lot of the work by hand or with simple tools. Sometimes the noise from the parcel service across the street is a bit much, but it’s part of the neighborhood. We’ve been on Kallanguthu Street for a while and we like the location because it’s easy for people to drop off materials or pick up finished goods. Our office is just a small desk in the corner of the shop where we keep our receipts and orders. We don't have any polished sales pitches or mission statements. We just make belts that hold up well and sell them for a fair price. Some days are slow and we spend time cleaning the tools, and other days we are working late to finish a batch. It’s just how a small business goes. We are just regular people working hard to make a living. It’s good enough for us.
