A. Gandhi & Co.

Our place is on Longly Road, right at number 23. Shevapet is one of those areas where there is always something moving. It's an old part of town and we have been here long enough to know most of the neighbors. A. Gandhi & Co. deals with the usual stuff you'd expect from a trading firm in this part of Salem. We handle accounts, paper work, and the day-to-day buying and selling that keeps a business going. It’s not a shiny corporate office. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for what we do. We have desks piled with ledgers and files because that’s how we keep track of things. Sometimes the phones don’t stop ringing, and other times it’s quiet enough to actually get some coffee. We don’t really do fancy meetings. Usually, it’s just someone dropping in to settle an invoice or check on an order. Longly Road is tight, so parking is always a bit of a headache for everyone. We just get on with the work. Most of our staff have been around for years, so we all know the routine. It’s a local operation, nothing more and nothing less. We just make sure the goods get where they need to go and the books stay balanced at the end of the month. It’s just how we do things here and we like the pace of it.
