L. J. Trading

Down in Birbhum district, you can find L. J. Trading right at the Mohun Bagan More. It’s a spot where a few roads come together, so there is always traffic and people walking by. Being at a "More" means it’s a bit of a hub for the local area. We handle various goods and trade them back and forth. It’s mostly about knowing who needs what and when they need it. The building we work out of is an older one, but it holds everything we need for now. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to people who drop in to see what we have in stock. The weather around here changes quite a bit with the seasons, so we have to watch the inventory closely during the rains. It’s not a complicated setup we have going. We keep some ledgers and a desk in the front. The back is where the storage is. Most of our days are spent moving boxes or checking the quality of things that come in. It’s a steady pace, nothing too rushed unless there is a deadline. People in the district know we are here if they need something moved or sold. We’ve lived in this area for a long time, so we know the shortcuts and the local rhythms. It’s just a regular trading business, plain and simple, run by people who know the local market well enough to keep things moving.
