Biswas Marble House

Biswas Marble House is over in Rampurhat, which is in the Birbhum district. We have a large yard where we store all kinds of stone. There are slabs of marble and granite leaning against the walls and stacked on the ground. It is a very heavy and dusty environment. When the sun is out, the marble shines, but when it rains, the whole yard gets quite messy. We don't have a showroom with air conditioning or glass displays. People just walk through the yard and look at the actual pieces of stone they want to buy. We spend our time moving these heavy blocks with a lot of effort. Birbhum is a place where people appreciate solid work and good materials. We have been in Rampurhat for a long time, and most people know where our house is. It is not a corporate office. It is a place where we work with our hands and handle heavy loads. We talk to the customers directly and help them pick out what they need for their floors or counters. Sometimes we have to cut the stone to size, which makes a lot of noise and dust. It is a simple business. We open the gates in the morning and wait for the trucks to arrive. It's a lot of lifting, but it's what we've always done. We don't need fancy brochures to show what we have. The stone speaks for itself when you see it. We just keep things moving.
