Surjan & Co.

Surjan & Co. is located out in Village Hamirpur. Around here, everyone knows the Reliance Tower, so that's usually how we tell people to find us if they are lost. It’s a quiet enough spot in Tehsil Saidnagar, though things pick up when the sun gets high and the road gets busy. We’ve been at this for a while now, just doing what needs to be done every day. The office isn’t much to look at, just some chairs and a desk where the paperwork piles up. Sometimes the dust gets in from the road, but we keep the fan going to stay cool. People come by to talk business or just to say hello while they’re passing through the village. It’s mostly about keeping things moving and making sure the orders are sorted. We don’t really have a fancy way of doing things. It’s just us showing up, unlocking the gate, and getting to work. The weather plays a big part in how the day goes, especially during the rains when the path gets a bit muddy and slows us down. We spend a lot of time checking lists and talking on the phone with people from the city. It’s a simple routine, really. You wake up, walk over to the shop, and see what the day brings. There’s always something that needs fixing or a person waiting for a bit of help with their supplies. We just stay busy and keep the lights on until it’s time to head home.
