B.K. Engginering Works

Our workshop, B.K. Engginering Works, is located near the Masjid School and the Telephone Exchange. It’s a noisy little corner of the world. Between the kids at the school playing during their break and the hum from the exchange, there is never a quiet moment. We have a small metal gate that stays open all day. Inside, it’s a bit of a mess with scraps of iron and old spare parts lying in the corners. We try to keep things in order, but when you’re busy with repairs, the floor fills up fast. We do a lot of welding and basic fabrication. You’ll see the bright flashes of the torches if you walk by in the evening. We don't have a fancy website or a big sign. Most people find us just by walking through the neighborhood or asking someone at the school. We have an old desk where we keep our receipts, but it’s mostly covered in tools and oily rags. The fans don't do much in the heat, so we usually keep the doors wide open to catch any breeze we can. It’s a tough way to make a living, but it’s what we know how to do. We just take the jobs as they come, whether it's fixing a broken gate or making a custom bracket for someone's machine. It is simple, honest work in a busy part of town. We stay until the last job is done for the day and then we pack up the tools.
