Our place is out at No. D - 37 in Sector 11. It’s more of a functional space than anything else. When you walk in, you’re greeted by the sound of sewing machines and the heavy thud of the steam iron. There are rolls of fabric leaning against the walls in the corners and scraps of thread all over the floor by the end of the shift. We’ve been at this address for a while, and the neighborhood hasn't changed much. It’s mostly other businesses and small factories around here. The tea stall at the corner is where most of us end up during the afternoon break. Sector 11 can be a bit dusty, especially when the trucks are moving in and out with shipments. We have big metal tables where the cutting happens and the light comes in through those high windows that we haven't cleaned in ages. It’s not a place for window shopping really, it’s where the work gets done. There is a small office area tucked in the front with a couple of old computers and some filing cabinets that don't always close right. We spend our days tracking orders and making sure the production schedule is moving along. It’s a lot of back and forth between the floor and the desks. We just try to keep things organized despite the constant flow of materials coming through the door.
