Santhal Pargana Grameen Pashupalika Vikash Producer Company Limited is based out of Rampur, not too far from the Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited office. We’re tucked away in Mohanpur village, which falls under the Kalajhar post office and Kathikund police station. It’s a rural area, so things move a bit slower out here than they do in the big towns. We spend a lot of time working with the local community on various producer projects. The building we use is simple and practical, exactly what you’d expect for a place focused on village development. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that; it's just us doing the paperwork and meeting with people from the surrounding fields. The road to Mohanpur can be a bit rough after a heavy rain, but we've lived here long enough to not mind it much. Most of our days involve sitting around a table and discussing how to keep things moving forward for the producers. We try to be useful to the people in the Kathikund area. It’s a lot of coordination and talking to people one-on-one. We don’t use fancy language because it wouldn’t make much sense to anyone here. It’s just honest, local work that needs to be done. We stay busy with the daily chores of running a producer company and making sure the records stay up to date. It’s a good place to work if you like the countryside and don't mind getting your boots dirty.
