Shantanu Traders

Shantanu Traders is a small business located in Ward Number 2 of Jalsima village. Our shop is right there in the Jalsima post area and we are part of the Sonbarsa taluka. An easy way to find us is to look for the Government Jalsima School because we are situated very close to it. You can usually hear the school bell ringing while we are busy inside the store. We deal with various items that people in the village and the surrounding farms need for their everyday life. The shop is not very big, so we have to use every bit of space we have for storage. Boxes are often stacked up high and the counter is always covered with notebooks and registers. We don't use computers to keep track of things; we just write it all down by hand. It feels more natural that way. The village life is quiet for the most part, but it gets busy during the morning hours when people are out doing their shopping. We have been here for a long time and we know almost everyone who stops by. We don't do any promotion or have any flashy signs. People just know us and they come by when they need something. It’s a simple operation and we just try to keep the shelves stocked with whatever is in demand at the time. It is honest work and we enjoy being part of the community.
