Laxmi Traders

Being right in the Sabji Mandi on Bangaon Road means it’s never quiet. Laxmi Traders is on the ground floor, right near the Canera Bank. If you've been to the market, you've definitely walked past us. We deal with all sorts of supplies. The morning starts really early, usually before the sun is even up, because that’s when the trucks arrive. It’s a lot of lifting and moving crates around. We have a small team, just me and a couple of guys from the neighborhood. We don’t have much space, so we have to be smart about where we put things. Sometimes the floor gets a bit messy with all the foot traffic. We’ve been at this spot for years. People know us for being reliable, even if we’re always running around. We don't use fancy computers for everything; a lot of it is still written down in ledgers. It’s how we’ve always done it. The noise from the vegetable sellers next door is constant, but you get used to it. Sometimes we share tea with the guys from the bank. It's a busy life, but it keeps us on our toes. We just try to get the orders right and keep the customers coming back. It’s a basic business, nothing more, nothing less. We don't need things to be complicated. We just show up and do the work that needs doing every single day.
