Indira Hospital

We are the hospital located right near the big water tank in Supaul. Just about everyone in town knows where that water tank is, so they usually find their way to us without needing any directions. It is a very central spot for the community here in Supaul. The building has been standing for many years, and you can see its age in some of the corners, but it is a sturdy place. We have a few simple wards and a spot for outpatients to sit while they wait for their turn to see the doctor. It is a very practical setup. We do not go for any of that corporate hospital look that you see in the bigger cities. There are no fancy uniforms or practiced greetings. We just say hello and get straight to the work at hand. During the heavy rainy season, the ground around the tank gets a bit muddy and messy, but people still make their way to our doors. We see a lot of young kids and elderly folks coming in from the surrounding villages. It gets quite loud during the middle of the day with people talking and children playing near the entrance. Our doctors have been working here a long time and they know most of the common health issues that pop up around here every season. We just keep things moving and try to make sure everyone gets the attention they need. It is not a complicated business, just a hospital for the town.
