Our location is out in Jatowala, which is a village and post area in the Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. We are part of the Zuari Cement Ltd and the Italcementi Group. Being in Teh-Bahet means we are a bit far from the main city, which has its own rhythm. The surrounding area is mostly green fields and small village roads. It’s a different vibe from the big industrial hubs in the south. Here, we deal with a lot of local distribution and managing the logistics for this part of the North. The office is simple, reflecting the rural setting we are in. We have a lot of local guys working with us, and the language you hear most is a mix of Hindi and the local dialect. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a few hours, and we just have to wait it out or use the generator. It’s a quiet place until the cement trucks start rolling in. We don't have a big corporate lobby. It’s just a room with some sturdy chairs and a few computers. We get to know the local farmers and the shopkeepers around Jatowala. Working here feels like being part of the village community. We focus on our daily targets and try to make sure the bags are distributed to the local dealers without much delay. It’s a steady, quiet kind of work that we’ve grown used to over the years.
