Wood Carving Emporiem

Our shop is located at 11/126, Sheopurti Mandi, and you can usually smell the sawdust before you even see the door. Wood Carving Emporiem isn't a showroom with bright lights. It's more of a workshop where we spend our days with chisels and hammers. There is wood stacked in the corners and shavings all over the floor most of the time. We do carving because that's what we know how to do. Some of us have been doing this for decades, and our hands show it. It’s hard work and it gets hot in the Mandi, especially during the summer months. We don't have a website that works right or a fancy catalog to show you. If you want to see what we're making, you just have to come by the shop and look at the workbench. Every piece of wood is a bit different, so nothing we make looks exactly like the last thing. We don't use big machines for everything; a lot of it is just manual labor. Sometimes a piece takes longer than we thought it would, but we don't like to rush the carving. It's a bit messy here and the noise from the street gets loud, but this is where we work. We’re just local carvers making things out of wood for whoever needs them, plain and simple.
