Upkar Enterprises

Upkar Enterprises is located in Deoband, right near the Prakash Hotel. It’s a busy little spot because the hotel brings in a lot of travelers and locals looking for a meal. We are right there in the middle of it all. Our shop is quite simple, with shelves that we built ourselves to hold all our supplies. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles here. The front door is usually kept wide open to let the air circulate, even though it means some of the street noise comes in with it. We spend our days managing stock and talking to people who drop in. Because we are near the hotel, we often get folks stopping by just to ask for directions or to see what we do. We don’t mind; it’s part of being in a community like Deoband. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the ceiling fan wobbles a bit when it's on high, but it gets the job done. We don't have a big corporate philosophy or anything like that. We just show up in the morning, open the books, and see what needs to be handled. Sometimes we sit outside on plastic chairs during the quiet hours, just watching the people go by the Prakash Hotel. It’s a slow pace of life, but we prefer it that way over the rush of a big city office.
