Tomar Nidhi Limited is situated over at 111 Vaishali Vihar. We are quite close to Raj Shiv Colony here in Saharanpur. If you live in this part of Uttar Pradesh, you know the area is mostly residential and pretty calm. Our office is tucked away in a spot that's easy to reach for anyone living nearby. We aren't a massive operation. It’s just a few of us sitting in the office, managing the accounts and talking to people who walk through the door. Most days involve a lot of checking figures and making sure the deposits are recorded correctly in the passbooks. We started this because we saw that people in Vaishali Vihar needed a local place to save their money. We don’t have fancy carpets or expensive coffee machines. We just have some plastic chairs and a water cooler for whoever stops by. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but the work gets done. We handle things in a very basic way, using simple English and local language so everyone understands what’s happening with their money. It’s a practical setup. We spend our time listening to what the members need and trying to keep things running smoothly without making it complicated. It's just a regular local business where we know our neighbors and they know us. That’s how we like it, and we plan to stay here for a good while.
