Our spot is H NO 18 in Mangal Nagar, right here in Saharanpur. Social Strength And Growth Foundation started in this very house because we wanted to see some changes in our local area. Saharanpur is a place where everyone is connected, so news travels fast. We aren't a big fancy foundation with a bunch of logos everywhere. It’s just a regular house where we keep our files and meet up to talk about what needs doing next. Sometimes the neighbors pop in just to say hello while we are working. It gets a bit crowded when we have more than five people in the main room, but we manage. Uttar Pradesh has its own way of doing things, and we fit right into that. We don't follow a strict corporate schedule. If someone needs help at 7 PM, we are usually around to listen. The 247001 area is our home, and we care about what happens here. It’s not always easy and some days we wonder if we’re making a dent, but then someone thanks us and it feels okay again. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just rely on people knowing us and knowing where Mangal Nagar is. We keep it simple and keep it local. That’s the only way we know how to run things. It’s about the people living on these streets and nothing more than that. We just take it one day at a time and see what happens next.
