Shamim Exports

If you come down to Old Thana Mandi in Shahblol, you’ll find us at Shamim Cottage. It’s an old building, looks a bit worn down but it’s sturdy. Shamim Exports has been operating out of here for years. The streets are very narrow so getting big deliveries in is always a bit of a headache. We have to time it just right or the whole road gets blocked. Inside the cottage, it’s mostly just rooms filled with samples and packing materials. It smells like old paper and tea. We spend our days sorting through goods and making sure they’re ready for the long trip ahead. It’s a family kind of place, really. We don’t have fancy computers or glass walls. We just use what we’ve got. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon and we just sit outside on the steps and talk to the neighbors. Shahblol is a noisy place but we’re used to it. The Mandi is always full of life. We like the history of the area. Even if the cottage needs a bit of paint, it feels like home to us. We’re just regular folks trying to get our exports out on time. It’s hard work but it keeps us busy and we’ve been doing it long enough to know the ropes.
