Vijay Light House

Vijay Light House is at 47-B Nehru Market. It’s a busy place with lots of shops around. We have the shop at 47-B and it is mostly full of boxes for lights and wiring. Some days the dust from the street gets in, so we have to clean the glass counters every morning. We don’t have fancy displays, just stuff stacked up so people can see what is available. If you walk past the big tea stall, we are right there. The fan inside makes a bit of noise but it helps with the heat. We keep things like normal bulbs and the long tubes. Sometimes people ask for things we don’t have on the shelf, and we have to go look in the back corner where it is dark. It’s a small place really. We have been in this spot for some time now. You see the same faces every day in the market. The sign outside is a bit old now but people know where Vijay Light House is. Mostly we are just busy checking the stock or talking to the delivery guys who struggle to park their scooters nearby because the lane is quite narrow. It is just a regular shop where we try to keep things organized but it doesn't always stay that way when a lot of people come in at once. We usually open up quite early before the sun gets too high and stay until the market starts to quiet down.
